The following is a list of our current fundamental research projects (public funding), we also cooperate with companies in the modeling, simulation, optimisation and control of fluid transport.
- 01/2017- Exact coherent superstructures in turbulent pipe flow, funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG) through the Priority Programme 1881 - Turbulent superstructures.
- 12/2014- Theoretical modelling and numerical simulation of antisolvent precipitation, funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG) through the Cluster of Excellence Engineering of Advanced Materials at the Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg (FAU). The project is part of an interdisciplinary cooperation a the FAU comprising six projects.
- 08/2014- Dynamics and transport of magnetorotational instabilities in Taylor-Couette flows, funded by the DFG. The project is a collaboration with Rainer Hollerbach (Leeds) and Ashley Willis (Sheffield).
- 07/2013- Structure and pattern forming processes in turbulent pipe flows, funded by the DFG.This project is part of the Research Group FOR 1182: "Transport and structure formation in tubulent Rayleigh-Bénard-, Taylor-Couette- and pipe flows near solid walls"
