performing organization:

Faculty of Physics, University of Duisburg-Essen

prime investigator:

Prof. Dr. Gerhard Wurm, Dr. Jens Teiser

experiment objective

abstract

Collisional charging within granular materials has a direct influence on the coagulation of grains to larger aggregates. To investigate the influence of electrical charge on the coagulation behavior within a granular gas is the objective of the payload. The coagulation behavior will be studied in three separate experiments, to analyze the influence of gas pressure and cosmic radiation on this process.
