The drop tower Bremen. How does it work and what happens within?
Let us clarify these questions by means of an easy to understand presentation (in german) where you can also test your understanding with small hand experiments.
Following this we will make a tour through the integration hall where real microgravity experiments are prepared, take a look at the drop tower deceleration chamber (availability depending on date and time according to operational schedule) and close with a peek at our prototype of a moon/mars station.
We propose a minimum age of 12 years for the individual tours. Total duration of the tours is 75 - 90 minutes. School classes (Grades 11-13) will be guided by scientific staff.
Unfortunately a tour to the top of the tower is not part of the tour. However, there are options out of the standard operational/working hours, see (drop tower tip) for details.
Presentations/tours in english are subject to staff availability.

You want to join a tour as an individual participant or with a small group:
This means that if you do not have your own group (or a small group), but would still like to take part in a guided tour. For this we offer an open Saturday appointment every month. Registration via email (with a phone number) or telephone is required.
The beginning is punctually at 10:30 clock. Meeting point main entrance (university ring).
The entrance fee is 14 € per person, payable on the spot if possible. We also send vouchers on request.
Tours are held in German.
