abstract

Gesamtziel des Vorhabens war die Untersuchung des Treibstoffverhaltens in Tanks von Raumtransportsystemen. Die Kenntnis des Treibstoffverhaltens in den unterschiedlichen Flugphasen eines Raumtransportsystems ist die Voraussetzung für die optimale Auslegung der Tanksysteme. Die Problematik der Treibstoffhandhabung leitet sich aus den unterschiedlichen Flugphasen, den zugehörigen Anfangs- und Randbedingungen sowie der Beschleunigung des Systems selbst ab. Flugphasen, in denen die Beschleunigung des Raketensystems die Erdbeschleunigung kompensiert, sind mit Versuchen am Boden nur in Ausnahmefällen zu simulieren (statische Verteilung der Flüssigkeit). Der Schwerpunkt der Arbeiten am ZARM lag auf der Simulation ähnlicher Bedingungen, wie sie in Raketenoberstufen während der ballistischen Phase vorliegen, nämlich kompensierte Gravitation oder umgangssprachlich Schwerelosigkeit. Diese Bedingung kann für kurze Zeit im Fallturm Bremen erreicht werden, indem die Versuchanordnung dem freien Fall ausgesetzt wird. Im Einzelnen wurden folgende Themen bearbeitet: Kapillardominierte Flüssigkeitsbewegunge (Oberflächenschwingungen freier Flüssigkeitsoberflächen, Einfluss der Marangoni-Konvektion auf den Randwinkel, Vorbereitung eines Raketenexperimentes SOURCE, numerische Berechnung der Oberflächenform, Berechnung statischer Oberflächen, Dochtwirkung poröser Medien), Schwerkraftdominierte Flüssigkeitsbewegungen (Definition der Anforderungen, Experimentelle Arbeiten), Oberstufentechnologien (Entwicklung eines Kryo-PMD, Phasentrennungstechnologie, Innenliegende thermale Isolation, Außenliegende thermale Isolation, Kryo-Messtechnik).
