The Centre of Applied Space Technology and Microgravity (ZARM, University of Bremen) invites applications for a

in the framework of the Research Training Group “Models of Gravity”, to be appointed April 1, 2018. The positions are limited up to three years.
ZARM is located at the campus of the University of Bremen, in the area of the “Technologie Park” in Bremen. The institute has an open and international atmosphere with numerous contacts all over the world. Daily working languages are both, German and English.
The Research Training Group “Models of Gravity” consists of gravity groups working at the Universities of Bremen, Oldenburg, Bielefeld, Hannover, Copenhagen, as well as at the Jacobs University Bremen. We intend to obtain a better understanding of Einstein's General Relativity and of generalised theories of gravity as given by, e.g., string theory. Responsibilities and Duties:
The successful applicants will have the opportunity to work towards a doctoral degree in Gravitational Physics. They are expected to contribute to the teaching programme of the Research Training Group.
To qualify for the position, applicants must hold a qualifying university degree (diploma or master) in Physics, Mathematics or any other relevant discipline, with an above-average success in the present courses of studies. We expect high dedication and teamwork.
